Ambassador and Head of Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Mauritius and to the Republic of Seychelles
Marjaana Sall is the Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to the Republic of Mauritius and to the Republic of Seychelles. She is also responsible for the cooperation between the European Union and the Indian Ocean Commission (IOC).
Marjaana Sal was appointed in August 2015 by the Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Ms Federica Mogherini to serve a four-year mandate in Mauritius. She became the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps at the end of last year.
Marjaana Sall has extensive experience in Africa having served the past 10 years in the Delegation of the European Union in Kenya and Finnish embassy in South Africa. She has also worked in the Permanent Mission of Finland to the United Nations in New York, and as Deputy Ambassador of the Finnish Mission in Indonesia.
Marjaana Sall joined the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland in 1997.
