Dr Elizabeth Mary Okelo is an Executive Director of Makini Schools Limited, a leading school in Kenya with excellent academic and co-curricular performance.

Dr Okelo has been a Member of the External Consultative Gender Committee – World Bank, Washington D.C. and a Vice-President of Women’s World Banking in New York.

Between 1985 and 1987 she was the Regional Representative of Women’s World Banking and also served as Senior and first Woman Advisor to the President of the African Development Bank in Abidjan.

A founder member and first Chairman of Kenya Women Finance Trust, Dr Okelo was the first woman management trainee at Barclays Bank, where she grew in her role to become a senior manager and first woman bank manager in Kenya.
