Prateema KUTWOAROO, mostly known as Anju, is a Senior Analyst presently with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration & International Trade which is responsible for the coordination, monitoring and reporting on the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This past year she has been co-leading the drafting of the first Mauritius Voluntary National Review (VNR) report. She was also part of the official delegation presenting the VNR report to the United Nations in July 2019. She is an acknowledged speaker on the arrangements on the implementation of SDGs for Mauritius.
Anju has been involved in policy making since 6 years now. She has participated in the successful implementation of projects such as the installation of the undersea fibre optic cable connecting Rodrigues to Mauritius in 2016/17, and the establishment of the Africa Training Institute in Mauritius in 2015. Anju’s areas of expertise also include quantitative and econometric analysis as well as risk analysis.
