FoodWise is the year old organization giving a second life to food surplus. Building businesses to solve social and environmental issues, that’s the purpose of Rebecca Espitalier-Noël, co-founder and managing director of FoodWise. Working for a nonprofit like her mum or for a for profit business like her dad, had always been a debate in her mind. 5 years ago she realized that she could do both: create social and economic value simultaneously to bring big scale lasting solutions to solve social problems. Since one year, together with her growing team, they have started to tackle the issue of food waste and have redistributed more than 40 tons of food.
